NCIF Demonstrates "Triple-Bottom-Line" Approach with Investments in Virginia and North Carolina
This fall the Natural Capital Investment Fund approved new investments in sustainable manufacturing and sustainable agriculture totaling $500,000.
In Southwest Virginia, NCIF provided $250,000 in financing for First Fruits Beverage Company in Marion, VA to launch a hot fill line that will serve leading organic beverage makers and create new jobs in Smyth County.

NCIF Partners with CEI to Benefit Rural Communities through $125 Million NMTC Program
This fall the U.S. Treasury allocated $125 million to Coastal Enterprises Inc. (CEI) as part of the federal New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) Program. In partnership with CEI, the Natural Capital Investment Fund will deploy funding in rural communities across its market area - West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Carolina Wood Pellets Open for Business
NCIF portfolio company Carolina Wood Pellets has begun production of wood pellets at its Franklin, NC facility.
